Before FLETCHER captivated us with her hit songs "War Paint" and "Undrunk," the Jersey singer had a turn on X Factor.
Backstage at our Kiss 108 Concert, FLETCHER took a moment to chat with Billy about how her time on the show impacted her.
During her audition, The X Factor host Simon Cowell called her "boring" and "forgettable."
"That was something that messed with me for a really long time. I was in a girl group on the show, and I was told I wasn't confident enough to be a solo artist, or to even sing lead within the group."
"It was really a lesson. I had to pick myself back up again and show myself I am still worthy of this dream of mine."
Although the "Undrunk" singer is now topping charts on her own, she hasn't forgotten her old critic.
"I feel like I should send Simon a cake that says 'Eat this. XO FLETCHER.'" 🎂
