Tom also has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Every CP warrior has their own set of challenges. For Tom, the biggest hurdle is spasticity--his brain sends too many messages to his muscles, causing them to work too hard all the time. It means every day Tom faces pain and exhaustion. In the face of it all, his joy and sparkle shine through.
