6-Year-Old Hingham Boy Has Raised More Than $35K for Australian Wildlife

A 6-year-old boy from Hingham has shattered his fundraising goal in just a short time and now has a new, even more ambitious target.

When Owen Colley began selling his hand-crafted clay koalas in support of the wildlife impacted by wildfires in Australia, he set a fundraising goal of $1,000. He has since shattered that goal, raising more than $35,000 for his cause as of Wednesday morning.

His new goal is to raise $3 million for his cause.

Anyone who donates $50 or more on Colley’s GoFundMe page will receive a clay koala. Donations will go to Wildlife Rescue South Coast, Inc.
