Covid-19: The End of Influencers as we Know It?

A recent article form Wired Magazine caught my eye. The headline: "Could the Coronavirus Kill the Influencer culture." My immediate reaction was YES PLEASE. I'm SO over it and i think the virus has solidified that for me. It became clear over the past 9 weeks what's really important in the "grand scheme of things."

Instead of scrolling the gram and feeling isolated from society because i don't have the "best" body or makeup lip kits( however i am now seeing a LOT of tie dye on IG these days.) I am now giggling at everyone looking, feeling, and experiencing the same things at the same time. We went from considering lip injections to googling how to get on unemployment or what restaurants are open when, so i can help my neighbors.

Yes, influencing is a way for some to make money and i think they can be helpful,l but moving forward i will now be hyper sensitive to what media i consume and how heavy i let it weight in my decisions...
