Hey Google, what should I do this weekend?
- State Parks are open!
- Some are within 45 minutes of the city!
- Most state Parks are free
- Make sure it isn't flooded if you are going close to the river.
As our state continues to reopen the excitement to enjoy weather( safely) and support our local businesses continues to increase. However, i still find it very challenging to go out places, seeing as how most have lines and wait times.
So we are resorting to nature. Ohio state Parks are open and most of the time they are free! Last weekend we visited Chillo Lock State Park ( about 45 minutes form Cincy.) It was a free trip and a nice ride along the river with short trails that you can loop around two or three times. There was also a boat ramp.
TIP: make sure you wear good shoes if you are going to a park near the river that could potentially be flooded.
