Sometimes, a football star just wants to go where everybody knows their name. For Julian Edelman, that place is Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
It seems fitting, then, that the New England wide receiver would tease the upcoming season with a parody of the iconic Cheers TV show introduction, complete with the theme song “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” and members of this year’s Patriots roster.
In a Tweet posted Friday, Edelman featured Cam Newton, Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick, Stephon Gilmore, David Andrews, Sony Michel, the McCourty twins, and more Pats notables in a video that calls us back to Foxboro for the long-awaited start of the 2020 season.
