U.S. News & World Report released its annual high school rankings report for Massachusetts on Tuesday.
The list was determined by summing schools’ weighted scores across six different criteria, including college readiness (30%), college curriculum breadth (10%), math and reading proficiency (20%), math and reading performance (20%), underserved student performance (10%) and graduation rate (10%).
The Bay State was well represented in the upper echelons of the national rankings. 161 Massachusetts schools ranked among the top 25 percent nationally. Three schools made the top 100.
U.S. News & World Report based their findings on the 2018-2019 school year, to avoid data from the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School, Marlborough
- Pioneer Charter School of Science 2 (PCSS-2), Saugus
- The Bromfield School, Harvard
- Belmont High School, Belmont
- Lexington High School, Lexington
- Dover-Sherborn Regional High School, Dover
- Weston High School, Weston
- Hopkinton High School, Hopkinton
- Mystic Valley Regional Charter School, Malden
