Lauren Spencer-Smith reflects on her journey to today, performing at the Kiss 108 Kiss Concert.
"When I was 11, I entered a random competition, and I sang with Keith Urban at a really big music festival."
"He did a song with Miranda Lambert and he needed someone everywhere he went on tour to sing her part, so you entered to sing that part."
"But long story short, I lost."
"And his team called and was like, Keith wants to sing a different song with Lauren. And I was just a baby and was like, 'Let's sing an Adele song.'"
"And then next thing you know, I was hanging with Keith."
But initially, the loss hit Lauren hard.
"I was, like, devastated. I was like, 'I lost.'"
"I found out I lost and for three days I was depressed and was like, you know, we're just going to have to move on. It's fine."
"And then they called."
