The Boston Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk is June 22–23, 2024. One night. One goal. Stop Suicide. This is the 4th Overnight Walk in Boston, but the first since 2019. The route is approximately 16-18 miles, starting and ending at Nickerson Field from sunset to sunrise.

Register at theovernight.org. thousands of participants and fundraises well over 2 million annually. 11. Walkers agree to raise $1000 (or $700 for students or military). We will have a virtual option and Virtual Participants agree to raise $500.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention leads the fight against suicide. They save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. AFSP is the largest suicide prevention organization in the United States. It has chapters in all 50 states and Puerto Rico with programs and events nationwide. AFSP offers programs that promote suicide awareness, education, and prevention. AFSP is the largest private funder of suicide prevention research. Updated 1/22/2024. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has set a bold goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20%, tens of thousands of lives. AFSP can connect those who have lost someone to suicide to support, through local events like International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day (which is held every November), and through the Healing Conversations program, which gives survivors of suicide loss the opportunity to speak with trained volunteers, who are themselves suicide loss survivors.
