Science: Nagging Moms Raise Successful Daughters

Hey, moms, do your kids every get frustrated because you nag them “too much?” Turns out, they should be THANKING you!

If you’re a nagging mother, science is on your side! Recent findings are now saying that nagging mothers raise successful daughters!

Ericka Rascon-Ramirez from the University of Essex is sharing findings from her study that suggests “behind every successful woman is a nagging mom.” Her research group analyzed data from 15,000 school girls ages 13 and 14 from 2000 to 2010.

The girls with mothers who had higher expectations pushed their daughters to make better choices. According to Mail Online, nagging parents decreased a teen’s chance of pregnancy by 4% and raised their likelihood of going to college, building a better career and earning more money.

Bottom line… KEEP IT UP, MOMS!
