Teacher Glued Tennis Balls to Chairs and Saw An Immediate Change in Her Students

At first look, these chairs may seem strange.  But Amy Maplethorpe ahs created an amazing idea that helps students with sensory issues.  Amy took a bunch of tennis balls, cut them in half and glued them to the seats and backs of her students' chairs.

But why?  She read about it online.

"Sensory seating is used for students who may have difficulty processing information from their senses and from the world around.  Students with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorder, etc. may benefit from this seating option."
