Patriots defensive captain Dont’a Hightower is returning to the Patriots, according to reports.
His agency Tweeted a congratulatory message, confirming his return:
Hightower has spent the last week in discussions the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hightower has been a part of four championship teams since 2009, including two national championships at Alabama and two Super Bowls with the Patriots.
Glad to see he's staying where he belongs!
