How to Find Out Everything Facebook Knows About You

We all knew that Facebook's algorithm is able to show you articles and ads you want to see based on what you like, but did you know how specific it got??

In just a couple clicks, I found out it knew things that even I barely knew-- my politics, my friends' politics, the fact that I live away from my extended family, all of the devices I use, even that I have roommates!

The good news is that you can easily look at this information and delete the targeted information, here's how:

  1. Under the drop down arrow in the top right corner of your homepage, click settings.
  2. From there, click on "ads" in the list to the left.
  3. Under ad preferences choose "your information" then "your categories"
  4. You will then see a list of categories. To remove simply hover over and click the X.

There you go! It's still pretty freaky to find out how much it knows. To learn more, check out WCVB
