Long subway delays and serious problems with the Long Island Railroad in New York City caused one unlucky student to miss the graduation he worked for so long to attend.
But, in one of those unique New York Moments, passengers took notice of the poor guy and banded together to organize and impromptu ceremony where he could collect his diploma (uploaded to a phone screen) in absentia.
In a video uploaded by Nadiya Afzal, he walks the "stage," accepts his diploma, poses for pictures, and even accepts hugs from everybody in attendance like at a regular graduation.
