Adult Alligator Wanders Residential Neighborhood After Hurricane (Watch)

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, Florida residents are cautioned to be on the lookout for any uninvited four-legged visitors who may be wandering through their neighborhood. This, after fears that many of the 1.3 million alligators living in Florida have been displaced.

Melbourne Fire Department caught this adult-sized alligator wandering through a residential neighborhood. A person in the video can be heard saying "there he goes, I’m outta here" as the alligator slithers away:

Floridians on social media have shared other, similar experiences. One Twitter user posted: 'Finally we've got an update from my family and turns out they have an alligator in their pool.'
