The New England Patriots are replacing the artificial turf at Gillette Stadium after just one regular season game.

A team spokesperson said the field wasn’t up to team standards, although they were up to the safety standards of the NFL and Major League Soccer. According to the spokesperson, this was the first chance to replace the field, because it will not be  used for two weeks.

ESPN first reported the decision, citing that several players complained about the softness of the field.

The field, which was installed in May, only lasted two preseason games, as well as the regular season opener; a 42-27 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
