Actor Harry Dean Stanton, an actor who had iconic roles in films such as "Pretty in Pink," "Godfather II" and "Alien" died peacefully Friday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at age 91.
His acting career spanned six decades and also included roles in “Cool Hand Luke,” “Repo Man” and HBO’s “Big Love.” Stanton was a member of the U.S. Navy during World War II, fighting in the Battle of Okinawa.
