It’s fairly common to see politicians striking sports bets with their counterparts from rival cities, but that doesn’t make it any less amusing when it happens.
It was Massachusetts representative Michael Capuano’s turn on Wednesday, after losing a Super Bowl bet with Pennsylvania representative Bob Brady. Capuano had to wear a Philadelphia Eagles helmet to Capitol Hill to make good on his friendly wager.
As you can imagine, his friends on the Hill showed little restraint, sharing photos of Capuano on social media.
Despite the humiliating payout, Capuano was a good sport:
