Just a month after the Super Bowl that all of New England is trying to forget, Macaulay Culkin took an opportunity during the Academy Awards to rub some salt in the wound. Ask any New Englander and they're likely to tell you it’s too soon to joke about the heartbreaking game.
During Sunday’s show, Culkin tweeted his Oscar nominee for best original score:
“Actually, the best original score of the year was New England 33 - Philadelphia 41 #Oscars”
The real award went to Alexandre Desplat for the “The Shape of Water.”
The Oscars-themed tweet was one in a series that Culkin sent out during the awards show. The actor claimed that he would not be watching the show live.
