Here’s a list of celebrities that you may not realize have ties to the Boston area:


Taylor Schilling

The actress, best known for playing the lead role on “Orange is the New Black,” grew up in West Roxbury and Wayland.


Uzo Aduba

Also of “Orange is the New Black” fame, the actress who plays Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren grew up in Medfield.


Jennifer Coolidge

The actress, known for iconic, over-the-top roles in “American Pie,” “Legally Blond,” and “2 Broke Girls” was born in Boston.


Uma Thurman

The actress, who has starred in major big-screen hits, such as “Kill Bill” and “Pulp Fiction,” was born in Boston and raised in Amherst.


James Spader

Star of TV Shows such as "The Practice," "Boston Legal," and "The Blacklist," Spader was born in Boston.


Edward Norton

Although he was raised in Maryland, Academy Award nominee Edward Norton was born in Boston.


Eliza Dushku

Most of us “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” fans will always know Eliza Dushku as badass slayer Faith, but, you may not know that the actress is from Boston.


Connie Britton

The star of TV hits “Friday Night Lights” and “Nashville,” Britton lived in Boston until she was seven.


John Slattery

Slattery was a character actor on TV for years before landing his breakout role on “Mad Men.” He’s a native Bostonian.
