Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High students will not be attending prom in 2019. Instead, they'll be partying on the high seas for "Senior Sail," a semi-formal Boston Harbor cruise, WBZ reports.
“We’re putting students on a yacht, in Boston, it’s going to be absolutely gorgeous," said Principal Angela Watson. Still, some students are not so happy about the decision to cancel the tradition rite-of-passage. "You don't want to get your hair and makeup done then go on a boat," said junior Molly. "So I just think it will be less fun."
After the boat cruise, students will head to the "Senior Lock-In," an all-night chaperoned party at the high school where they will hang out until the morning.
