That's right. The "La La Land" credits the band as a big influence.

"They write about things it seems like they're really going through. They don't write songs like anybody else. They made me want to write songs.
What's his favorite song? "Semi-Charmed Life"
*cue impromptu sing-along*
"I had written about them in an article that ended up on Huffington Post like 3 years ago," Bryce recounts, "really before most people knew who I was."
The band saw it and subsequently invited Bryce to their upcoming concert. Despite a mix up - "My name wasn't on the list. And I'm like, 'Oh no, they forgot!'" - he was able to see the show. "That was top 10," Bryce recalls fondly.
