Did you know there’s a way to see how much money you’ve ever spent on Amazon? It’s true and, we can tell you from experience, that the results may shock you.

TikToker @k.harrigan posted a now-viral video showing how you can download the info for every Amazon purchase you’ve ever made, which you can use to see the total amount of money you’ve spent at the online retail giant. Just make sure that you’re sitting down when you do it – it’s probably going to be a lot more than you think!

Follow these steps to download your report – it’s easiest on a desktop computer:

  1. Go to Amazon.com and make sure you’re signed in with your account credentials.
  2. Click “Hello, [YOUR NAME]” in the top right corner.
  3. Click “Download Order Reports” in the “Ordering and Shopping Preferences” section.
  4. Set the start date to a time before you created your account (or just the earliest date possible) and set the end date to today.
  5. Click the “Request Report” button to download your report.

Once the spreadsheet file (.csv) is downloaded, you’ll need to sum up all your purchases to find your total. So, drop the file into your spreadsheet program of choice or phone a friend to add it up.

Sound confusing? It might be easier to just watch the video:
