Handsome Shelter Worker Turns Dog Adoption Post Into Thirst Trap

What started out as a pet adoption post quickly became a viral thirst trap for an animal shelter in Texas. The City of Wichita Falls Animal Services isn’t used to getting tens of thousands of comments on their social posts. But, when they featured handsome animal control officer Zackry Majewski along with their adorable husky Sky in a recent Facebook post, the comments flooded in – and people seemed more interested in Zack than the dog.

Many comments were inquiring if Majewski was single. “Is Zac looking for a forever home too??” one commenter asked. To date, there are over 27,000 thirsty comments.

Majewski was featured in the post as a part of the city’s animal control officer appreciation week. “We wanted to highlight them and also highlight a dog that we had available for adoption,” city administrator Nicki Bacon told The Dodo. Throughout the week, the shelter was highlighting one adoptable pet, along with one animal control officer. No other posts got quite the same reaction as Majewski’s, though.

“Honestly, we did not expect it,” Bacon told The Dodo. “When I first saw the post in the morning, it had gotten around 500 comments, and I brought him into the office and said, ‘I just wanted to let you know this is blowing up a little bit.’ And the next thing I know, it’s going into the thousands.”

“He thought it was pretty funny,” Bacon added. “He’s the most humble guy. He said, ‘I’m just glad that the dogs are getting attention.’”

Majewski is such a dog lover, he even has a husky tattoo on his forearm:

In case you were wondering, he is reportedly single.
