Massachusetts native Sam James is no stranger to big collabs with big artists like Dolly Parton and Bebe Rexha, but James has recently found a new source for collaborations.
In 2019, Sam James co-wrote "Faith," a song performed by Dolly Parton that appeared on Galantis's album, "Church."
On working with Dolly Parton, James says, "The Dolly you see is the Dolly you get."
However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced James to switch up his approach to music.
"Studios shut down," he explains, but he managed to Zoom with collaborators.
Then his friend had an idea: share his music on TikTok.
"What do you have to lose? No one follows you," his friend claimed.
It's through TikTok that James has discovered new artists with whom he would like to collaborate.
"When you come from the songwriting side, you've got to keep up with the up-and-coming."

Sam James also treated Kiss 108 listeners to a soulful cover of the Roddy Rich song, "The Box."

Sam James brought Jasmine on to tease their upcoming single "Kiss and Tell" on July 8.
The song is about past relationships and show your ex how well you're doing without them.
