Jennifer Lopez keeps herself busy with various projects, from putting out new music to starring in films, and as such she is used to receiving critiques and comments about her work. However, there are two very important people in her life that she enjoys hearing feedback from: her children.
While speaking to E! News in a recent interview, the Atlas star explained why she likes to get her kids' opinions on her work, knowing that her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, whom with ex-husband Marc Anthony, will be "brutally honest" with her.
"I think kids are like kind of wrapped up in their own lives a bit, but if you ask them, they will give you their honest opinion about everything, you know what I mean?" she said. "They're ready to be brutally honest with you at times."
The "On the Floor" singer specifically said she seeks out her children's opinion on some of her projects not just for their personal takes but for their generational perspective, adding that she likes learning what her kids have to say and that she "always [has] such joy from hearing their thoughts."
"I like my kids to see my work and know what I'm doing, and I'll share certain things with them and say, 'What do you think of this?' or 'What do you think of that?'" she said. "And they always have an interesting perspective, because they're from a different generation."
Lopez previously admitted that she often questions whether she is "enough" for her kids, opening up about her feelings of being a "single mom."
