BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Many Gen Zers and Millennials appear to be pushing back against social media and technology by going analog.
It's called digital fatigue, and a few generations, including Gen Z, are combating it by going analog. Logan from Boston says he not only likes his music in physical form, but also video games. That's why he has invested in an Xbox 360.
"You just throw that thing in, and it starts working. Usually it doesn't take that long. It's pretty awesome," Logan said.
Logan also emphasized that some of his Gen-Z friends are also warming up to the analog life.

"My friend is getting a vinyl record player, so I guess maybe it's something like that."
Ironically, the hashtag analog is trending on social media with people going online to show their efforts to get offline. This includes touting things like physical books, CD players, journals, and analog clocks. And it's not just Gen Z. Millennials like Patricia are going back to their roots.
"A lot of millennial moms are talking about raising their kids like they're in the 90s," she said. "They're getting old TVs, they're using VHS tapes, no phones most of the time, they go to a certain spot, that kind of thing."
