BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) —Shuttle buses will be replacing service on the MBTA’s Green Branch from Kenmore to Boston College for nine days starting Wednesday.
Service is being suspended to allow for a series of safety and infrastructure upgrades to be made as well as the replacement of a 130-year-old wooden overhead wire trough.
Shuttle bus service will last from April 22 through April 30.
Some T riders say service suspensions are something they've come to expect from time to time.
“I [just] budget extra time,” said Sarah. “I’d say it adds maybe 10 minutes on a good day, not too bad."
“If I know [about service suspensions] I leave earlier, if I don’t know I just have to deal with it,” said July.
