MIDDLEBORO, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — How about a little THC for the holiday dinner table this Thanksgiving?

Suncrafted Cannabis, a recreational and medicinal marijuana dispensary in Middleboro, is selling THC-infused cranberry sauce just in time for Turkey Day.

"You don't see edibles as a cranberry sauce or a jam or something like that," said kitchen lead supervisor Tyler Eno, the man behind the special sauce. "I use strictly straight fruit puree that I make myself from those cranberries."

The sauce is made with cranberries locally grown on farms straight down the road. According to Suncrafted president Tim McNamara, the product helps fulfill the company's mission to sell all natural products and maintain a commitment to local agriculture and sustainable growing.

"I think it matches well with our dual mission to be using cranberries as much as we can," McNamara told WBZ NewsRadio Thursday. "We have the benefit of local producers."

One tablespoon of the sauce contains 5 milligrams of THC, the active ingredient in cannabis. Higher dosage versions of the sauce are available to patients with a valid Massachusetts medical card.
