Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's (December 14) loss to the Denver Broncos, an MRI confirmed on Monday (December 15), according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"#Packers star Micah Parsons has, in fact, torn his ACL and is out for the 2025 season, the MRI confirmed. He faces a 9 month recovery at least," Rapoport wrote on his X account.

Parsons suffered a non-contact injury while pursuing Broncos quarterback Bo Nix in the second half of Sunday's game.

"It didn't look good. I'll leave it at that," Packers coach Matt LaFleur said during his postgame press conference via ESPN.

Parsons had previously dealt with a Grade 1 knee sprain during his rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2021 and a back lower lumbar injury when he was acquired by the Packers in a blockbuster trade with Dallas in August. The Pro Bowl pass rusher recorded 41 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss and 26 QB hits in 14 games during his first season in Green Bay.

Parsons was acquired by the Packers in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks (2026, 2027), immediately signing a four-year, $188 million deal with Green Bay upon the trade's completion, following failed offseason negotiations with Dallas.
