Six Dr. Seuss books will be pulled and no longer published due to racial undertones and insensitive imagery.
Dr. Seuss Enterprises released at statement saying in part "these books portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong'
The six books no longer being published are
- "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street"
- "If I Ran the Zoo"
- "McElligot's Pool"
- "On Beyond Zebra!"
- "Scrambled Eggs Super!"
- "The Cat's Quizzer"
This week Virginia's largest school district cancled Dr. Seuss across all of their schools.
Today happens to be Dr. Seuss's birthday and his estate is still profiting millions of dollars a year off of his literary work.
