Matthew McConaughey is not buzzing about his latest run in with nature.
The actor was stung by a bee on Wednesday (July 10) and shared pics from the gruesome-looking incident to Instagram. The photo in question depicts the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days alum with a smile on his face despite the pain he must have endured from the sting and swell that followed. His right eye remained completely untouched, bright even, to match his pearly whites.
The clear problem area was his left eye, bubbled up and swelled shut as a result of the sting. Fans took to the comment section in both concern and light-hearted humor with some recommending ways to get the swelling down, and others showing up with bee puns.
"Oh no! 🐝careful," one fan joked. Others questioned if the star was "all right all right all right" after the gnarly sting.
The inspiring father-of-three has been very active on social media in recent weeks, with his last post honoring his eldest son, Levi, on the child's 16th birthday.
"Alright Levi...coming on that age buddy. About to be out on your own. Me and your mom hope we've done as good of a job as we can. You're not really going to have us as a safety net out there in the wonderful, wild world forever."
The icon also parents Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11 with wife Camila Alves, all of whom were hopefully unharmed by the bee that had a bone to pick with McConaughey.
