Drake kicks off the New Year with a brand-new freestyle and he's not holding back against anyone.
On Friday, January 3, producer Conductor Williams shared a 20-minute YouTube video that contained a fresh freestyle from The Boy. He begins by calling out his "brothers" who switched up on him. Some fans believe he's talking about DeMar DeRozan and LeBron James. Both athletes used to be cool with Drake but have recently expressed their affinity for Kendrick Lamar.
"The world fell in love with the gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets," Drake raps. "Seemed like they loved every minute, just know this s**t is personal to us, and it wasn't just business."
"Remember we tradin' watches? I gave you that Arabic dial/You gave me a numbered edition, you would even check up on my son like a pediatrician," he continues.
Drake dropped more shady bars about those who were disloyal to him in his three-minute freestyle. Later on, he seemingly addresses J. Cole amid their fallout during the peak of the Big 3's melee last year.
"And n***as cried the blues for you, sayin' it wasn't malicious/Talkin' 'bout we family, well, I'm not the cousin to visit/God forbid we ever got to tarnish your public image/All that brother talk as if I really discovered a sibling."
Fans are also convinced that he took another shot at Kendrick Lamar. Toward the end of his freestyle, Drizzy disses all the "snakes and you other musicians" and appears to respond to accusations Lamar made on "Meet The Grahams" about his alleged addictions.
"I don't give a f**k about you snakes or these other musicians/N***as started f**kin' with my family, I'm goin' to prison," Drake raps. "I don't have a drinkin' problem, I got a subtle addiction/I got my father's habits and I got my mother's permission."
Drake's "Fighting Irish" freestyle was taken down shortly after Conductor Williams posted the video. As of this report, he has not explained why the video was removed. Check out the full freestyle below while you can.
