If anxiety is keeping you from falling asleep, there's a TikTok sleep hack that is being called a "game-changer."
TikToker @HeyFrankieSimmons has gone viral for sharing a sleep hack that has to do with the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve sends info from the brain to the rest of your body.
"A couple of years ago it was a very regular occurrence for me to wake up at 4am with anxiety all the time," Frankie shared. "And I'd have to pull myself up out of bed and do all this breath work and energy work and tea drinking, and spend forever trying to calm myself down to go back to sleep. [But] all that changed the day that I found out about icing your vagus nerve."
So how do you do it?
Put an ice pack or a bag of frozen peas in the center of your chest for 15 minutes.
It releases inflammation and allows the nerve to do its job better, relaxing you and allowing you to fall asleep! Watch back the videos above and let us know if you try it via social @onairwithryan
